MR6 Network Cabling

The Power of Connection

MR6 Network Cabling is a California-licensed electrical and low voltage cabling firm that proudly serves hospitality companies, government entities, educational institutions, medical facilities, private businesses and residential clients. We are a family-owned business that combines technology, experience and innovation to provide our clients with long-lasting results.

1. Who We Are

Wired to exceed expectations.

Leveraging our 40+ years of combined experience in low voltage cabling, we’re able to provide the highest level of professionalism, while completing projects on time and on budget. We also bring experience in product selection, system design, installation services, multi-site rollout, and post-installation support.

We pride ourselves on getting cabling jobs done right the first time—avoiding delays or costly change-order requests. Part of the reason we can do this is because of our unique ability to pinpoint problems with your existing cabling, and then fix those problems quickly and efficiently.

MR6 Network Cabling has long-standing relationships with top-tier product and service providers, allowing us to provide you with better cabling products and accompanying services (if needed) at extremely good rates.

Finally, we like to let new customers know about the 3 things they can expect each and every day when working with MR6 Network Cabling: Transparency, Integrity, and Honesty.

Thanks to over four decades of combined experience, our team has seen it all, including many large commercial, institutional, and government projects. By putting in the necessary time upfront to do our “homework” (i.e., comprehensive walk-throughs, planning and budget meetings, discussions with engineers and architects, etc.) we’re able to hit the ground running with the right plan, the right team, and the right equipment.

As a California-licensed company, we know how to meet all state and local building codes and requirements around networking cabling, such as those required by Title 24 (the energy code that’s designed to reduce wasteful and unnecessary energy consumption in both newly constructed and existing buildings). So whether we’re installing Title 24-compliant network control systems or providing the necessary cabling for Title 24-compliant LED lighting, we ensure that our work, and the products we install, meet California’s and the City of Los Angeles’ strict requirements.

We take great pride in tackling projects of all sizes for our commercial, institutional and government clients, so feel free to call us to explain your challenge, or send us your RFP (Request for Proposal).

2. Government and Commercial

For larger buildings, it pays to have a cabling partner that’s been there, done that.

3. Residential

We take every necessary step to ensure professional and courteous residential service.

Unlike like large commercial network cabling projects, residential projects are more personal in nature. After all, this is where people live—so they want everything to be just right, and to meet the needs of everyone in their family. We pull out all the stops for our residential clients so they have the right plan, the right equipment, an installation schedule that meets their needs, as well as installers that are as professional as they are courteous. (That’s why we require our installers to wear shoe covers on all residential projects.)

After meeting with a homeowner or homebuilder to determine their goals and budget for their low voltage project, we create a detailed plan and layout for their smart home system, which may include distributed video, entire home audio, surveillance cameras, surround sound, ethernet network, an alarm system, a central vacuum systems, lighting controllers and more.

Whether you’re building a new home, want to bring low voltage cabling to an existing one, or you’re the General Contractor on an apartment or condo project, MR6 Network Cabling looks forward to meeting you and learning more about your project. Please contact us to schedule a meeting,

If there’s one thing we’ve learned over the years, it’s that short cuts never pay in the end. We then develop a custom network cabling solution plan that fits your budget and timeline, while keeping safety in mind at all times. We also work with our hotel clients to devise an installation plan that will ensure that guests are not disturbed during their stay at your hotel.

6. The MR6 Difference

In the cabling business, it’s not about what you do, but how you do it.

No matter the project size, technological hurdles can present themselves during the course of a job and it’s how you overcome those hurdles that separate the good network cabling companies from the truly great ones.

MR6 Network Cabling takes great pride in the following company values and best practices. It’s these values and best practices, demonstrated and followed closely on a daily basis, that make our projects more successful and our client partnerships more collaborative.

• Transparent Communication – Customers deserve open and honest communication during every stage of a project. When you team with us, you’ll receive regular updates so you’re never left in the dark. And if a challenge arises, we get out in front of it immediately with our clients so we can address the situation together and come up with a smart solution.

• Adaptability – Whether we’re providing service to a tiny one-bedroom condo or a sprawling ten-floor government building, we adapt as needed to ensure we have the right number of technicians, the appropriate amount of equipment and supplies, and a sound plan to get the project done both safely and efficiently. No matter the size, we always adapt as needed and deliver proactive solutions.

• Progress Reporting – We provide our customers with clear, concise and adaptive reports throughout the lifespan of a project, so no matter what—you’ll always be in the know.

• Hands-On Project Management – Our managers take complete ownership of every project to ensure that every detail (and challenge) is addressed—from project kick-off to project completion. With a tight-knit, family owned company like ours, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

• Ongoing Preventative Maintenance – Even with the latest products and proper installation, technology can always provide challenges down the road, which is we recommend ongoing preventative maintenance (especially on larger projects). This prevents future issues with your low voltage technology, maximizes its value, and extends the life of your electronic components. It’s a small investment, but worth every penny in the end.

• Risk Management Strategies – By investing in our trade skills, safety programs, and the latest equipment, as well as monitoring telecommunication industry trends and best practices, we protect ourselves and our clients from project risks and complications.

• Employee Selection and Training – MR6 Network Cabling’s team is comprised of employees that are professional, highly skilled, and extremely ethical. We constantly receive training on emerging technologies, state and local regulations, project management techniques, and low voltage best practices, allowing us to provide the best service possible to our clients. Our expert team has also created a responsive and professional vendor network that our clients can benefit from and rely on.

• Investing In Education – By participating in seminars, expos and ongoing training on new industry products, state and local regulations, and important safety issues, we’re able to bring more knowledge and better skills to every project.

7. Case Studies

LA Metropolitan Courthouse

Government Sector Project

Situation: The courthouse needed voice and data communication systems installed on three floors (of mostly work cubicles and offices), where over 90-120 employees worked on any given day.

Solution: With the right plan, team and materials, MR6 set out to complete the project in just 3 months. Leveraging seven specialists, we disconnected the current voice and data communication systems on the three floors. (Then a furniture designer brought in new desks, cubicles and other office additions to the space.) Once the space was outfitted with furniture, cubicles and other items, we relocated and supplied new voice and data communication systems.

Results: The project was finished on time and on budget. The client was very happy from a cost perspective, as they didn’t have to use their contingency budget. All of the systems were installed correctly the first time, so there was no need for further repair or service.

As a result of our successful project, the LA Metropolitan Courthouse subsequently referred us to other courthouses that we continue to serve to this day.

Andraca Professional Buildings Commercial Sector Project

Situation: Andreca Professional Buildings (APB) needed to relocate their server room, as they were remodeling the entire building. This involved rewiring the current cabling so the new server room could function optimally both during the transition and moving forward.

Solution: MR6 removed all communication cables and installed new voice, data, and CCTV camera cabling systems.

Results: The project was finished on time and on budget. The employees working in the building were uninterrupted, since we were able to work before and after their regular business hours.

Satisfied with our work, APB contacted us to install a 12’ X 4’ video wall in the main conference room, allowing for cutting-edge global business communication.

Regist Construction
Residential/Housing Sector Project

Situation: Regist Construction (RC) contacted us to complete a low voltage structured cabling project for 435 apartment units that were being built. The apartments needed to be equipped with cabling for voice, data, and TV systems. The projected time for this project to be completed was 1 year and 6 months.

Solution: Together with our construction company partners at RC, we determined that the project needed to be completed in 16 phases. After each phase was completed, our cabling work was inspected by project superintendents to ensure it was all installed to code. A progress meeting was held each week with building and construction superintendents, keeping the project on time.

Results: The project was completed on time and budget. Whenever there was an issue with the wiring (like when other trade workers accidentally cut the wires or moved them), we were happy to repair all of the damaged wires. These repairs were almost always done at no cost to the client – and we made sure to respond to any issues within just 4 hours of being notified.

Today, we continue to have an outstanding relationship with the client.
